Brighter cornering fog lights

I’ve just purchased bimmercode whilst also having Carly as Bimmercode seems to have a few more coding options and obviously expert mode.

I was surprised to find cornering lights could just be coded onto the car as it was looking at buying a kit to retro fit them.

Anyway the Corning lights are not bright at all, so I was wondering if there was a way to turn the brightness up on them or a decent bulb replacement so they don’t look so yellow against my xenon’s.

LEDs. I went to them from H8 halogen, the measured lumens output tripled.

You can replace them with the OEM LCI (LED) fog lamps, much brighter!

Can anyone send the link to which LED bulbs they are using? I tried upgrading mine to LED and did the relevant coding, but the light would stay on for a few minutes once the car was turned off and locked. I ended up going with a cool coloured halogen bulb, but it isn't great.

Also, they halogen light fades on and off when used. Does the LED also fade or do they just turn on and off without the fade effect?

Are they just a straight swap?

Something is off with your coding. The fogs should only work when the headlights are on and the switch is engaged.

At the very least they would require coding. There's no such thing as plug and play LED conversions, no matter what the advertising says. I don't see the sense in replacing the fog lamps at over $250 when $30 bulbs will do.

May be OP has coded the fogs as welcome lights?

I have mine coded so I can activate fog lights with either parking lights or with low beams or with high beams (for empty regional roads).

Yeah, that occurred to me after I made the post. If that's the case they're doing what they're supposed to do.

I didn’t know you can code the fog lights to come on with high beams? That would be very useful.

I agree I’ll be going with some led bulbs.

Random one but I had the battery replaced a few days ago and now the cornering lights that I coded on before hand now don’t work. Is this normal as I’ve never had something I’ve coded stop working.

Not normal. Coding is non-volatile memory, unaffected by disconnecting the battery.

That’s what I thought. I’ll have another look.
