Crashed my M235i LSD

Crash was very random, did 180 and hit streetlight post but speed was only
20-30 km\h.
Due to 180, collision was big enough to cause some pretty ''noticeable'' damage.

Sad thing is that I didn't have insurance on it.

Would it be worth to get it fixed or just keep it for some future project or donor car for next M235?

What would you guys estimate the cost for fixing it would be?

Wow - sorry to see that. How did it happen? It looks like a lot of damage for that speed - are those the side airbags?

There are people here who'll be way better at estimating the cost on this that me. Again, though, sorry to see the damage.

That sucks man, sorry to see. Glad your ok. What happened exactly? Since the rear quarter panel is destroyed and the air bags went off, it will for surely be a total loss. You can rebuild it, but it will be costly. May be more effective to find a donor chassis with light front end damage or a blown engine that you can swap your engine into.

I came out of a turn, gave it a bit more throttle than necessary, but it was night time and I didn't notice that the road was not in best condition and had driven in furrows or rails (sorry i don't know the correct term).
My rear end got stuck in the rails and instantly tossed the car around even on low speed.
Ended up hitting a railing a bit which gave me even more inertia to spin and finally I rear ended electric post.
I also had Michelin tires in front but in the back I had some Sailun's so that probably contributed to everything as well.
Yeah, and I had traction control completely off.

I didn't think about looking for donor chassis since market for m235i's is not really active in my country, I can check neighbouring countries markets for sure though, thanks for that perspective!

Sorry to hear glad you are okay.
Unless labour is cheap where you are it is a loss, rear quarter replacement is expensive. Part it out, the engines in these cars are super rare and in high demand from ppl spinning bearings

Parting it out seems like a solid option, currently I'm also thinking about getting a new body and using this crashed m235i as a donor for it, thinking about looking for 2 series body, maybe 135 or possibly something I haven't thought of yet.

Since everything seems to be working in the car, I think there's a chance that it could contribute to something really awesome

I would not even bother repairing it. Looking at the picture, the car has most likely frame damage, and will never drive the same.
Better swapping the motor on another one.
Sorry, but glad you're OK.

Sorry to see that, but glad to hear you're ok. That's a really nice looking car. Cheers to moving on to something new, F22 or otherwise.

Based on what the OP wrote, I'm guessing no.
