edmunds Inside Line: 135i to be around $30K

http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=123122

"Edmunds attended a manufacturer-sponsored event, to which selected members of the press were invited, to facilitate this report."

This is a pretty recent article. What do you guys think? Credible?

I can't wait to see how pissed off everyone is going to be when the real pricing hits.

What!? That would make the 135i more expensive than a 328i coupe, and 2-3K more than the 328i sedan. Not happening, unless BMW decides to substantially increase the price of all its vehicles. I love the 135i engine, but come one, the 328i coupe is much more of a status symbol (which I could care less of, but others do consider this factor), and noticeably more spacious. I love the 135i engine, but I would buy a 328i coupe instead of a 135i in a heartbeat if it were cheaper than the 135i, or within 1-2K of the 328i. Better resale value, too. Not that many people want a super fast small car, except for the BMW 1addicts team, of which I am a proud member.:thumbup:But we are all guessing, including myself; but that's why I think it's important to post price predictions made by major magazines.

i dont know why its hard to believe a 135 will cost more then a 328??? The one is overall a more impressive, faster, more standard options, etc then the 328. And i would NEVER but a 328 coupe over the 135. we are all here cause we love the one. Now....if the price competes with the 335 the that is a different story

This makes sense. If the 135 came close in price to the 335, then BMW would have a problem. But having the 135 at or slightly above the 328 in price is no big deal. I don't see it as an issue. The only people who care are the ones who don't want to spend that much money on 135.
