Question More pricing hints??

First let me say hello to all.

On a trip to my local Barnes and Noble I flipped through Motor Trend and read about future vehicles. Of course it runs through Porsche, Mercedes and a little blurb about our beloved 1 series at the end. It said that the 128 convertible would be close to 30K. With the understanding that this is Motor Trend and they could be off a bit. What do you think the cost difference is going to be between a 128 coupe and a convertible?

Haha...Funny..I am obsessed with the pricing threads though! I think there needs to be at least a 4-5K price difference between the coupe and convertible, if not more! Say the 128i Convertible starts at 31K, I would say the 128i coupe would be at 26-27K. People constantly call me optomistic on 1addicts and I could be way off. Th convertible will almost certainly carry a premium also.

128i Convert: 31K
128i Coupe: 26-27K
135i Coupe: 32-34K
135i Convert 37-39K

Thanks for the welcome and the cold beer. I know pricing is a touchy subject around here. Just wanted to give my little insight. I know we all have to wait until around Nov 14th is it before pricing is official?

I think most of the people want to know one way or another. If one can buy it or if one should go for 3-series instead of 1-series in case the difference is so small or if one should choose something else. Nobody really wants it to be high, but there is a reality to it, too.

my order of importance

if:
135i , sport, premium less then a 328i = 135i

135i , sport, premium more then a 328i = 135i

135i , sport, premium $5000 less then a 335i = 135i

135i , sport, premium within $5000 of a 335i = 335i

but of course it has alot to do with leasing

if the 135i is within 50-75 dollars/month of a 335 then = 335i

Their pricing will match their model designations!

128i = $28k
135i = $35k

Yes, I'm just pulling this out of my *ss.

What is the original source of $31K for 128 Convertible? If in fact this is the case it is going to be a STEAL.
