Is there any way to adjust the sensitivity of when the parking cameras or sensors will automatically appear? I'm still getting used to the dimensions of the car, but it feels like the assists don't pop up until I'm inches away from an obstacle.

Unfortunately not. It's a bit annoying, but my previous F15 X5 was the other extreme. It popped up all the time. Fast food drive-throughs especially.

Pulling into my garage is about a 50/50 probability of it popping up. I've just gotten into the habit of tapping the button when I'm parking it. It's not the end of the world.

I wish there were. I hit the button on the console to bring them up automatically when approaching a space. Sucks.

There is actually a way to automate it. I have it setup so that when I enter my driveway, the front camera comes on. This way you don't have the press the button each time. I'll see if I can dig up the instructions.

Definitely agree that it is better to err on the side of late notifications. The sensors on my Macan would trigger in traffic, going through parking lots, and every time I was in a drive through. Incredibly annoying.

Panoramic camera or surround view camera?

I can set the panoramic camera to activate based on GPS location, but not the surround view parking camera.

Yeah, but I need the parking surround view. It also won't help when I'm dealing with a parking spot in some non-predetermined location. Fortunately, in lots with straight in parking I almost always opt to back in and the view comes up as soon as I put it in reverse.
