When will the Official Prices be Released?

Does anyone know when the official North American prices will be released for the 1-Series? Will it coincide with one of the major auto shows (Detroit or LA)?

Anyone know the official price release date?

There's some thought that it'll be when the BMWUSA configurator goes online (~11/17/07), we'll just have to wait and see.

I think it will officially be available on 11/17, as atr_hugo says, but I bet there will be leaks a week or two prior to the actual announcement (and possibly some fakes).

Good grief, talk about d-day, this site will be at an all out boiling point that week. I have never seen price speculation like this, and I would imagine at least 90% of us considering the 135 are hinging on it. Are you listening BMW?

My dealer seems to think that pricing will not necessarily be available when the configurator comes out. He said that generally, pricing is only available about a month before the car actually arrives.

I hope he's wrong, and I'm really hoping I can build AND price one on 11/16.

I hope they don't do something similar to the configurator used for the Volvo C30 prior to its official pricing release. The c30 configurator would change base MSRP price, and option prices about every week or so. You may build one, and a week later build again and the price would be 3k more.

Vornado, what's up with your avatar? You replaced the nice jugs with a funny pug with a big mug.

Has BMW ever released a configurator without pricing? I know on the MINI side, when they drop the configurator, the prices are on it and they are locked in. They usually release teh pricing to the press teh same day or just before the configurator goes live.

I tend to agree with you Sheriff. Can't remember BMW ever offering the configurator without prices to go along with it.

Been selling BMW for 7 years, I have to agree. When the configurator flies the prices will be available for viewing. I have seen the price on the configurator before we received official pricing on other models.

its hard to believe that they would release a USA configurator without including prices in the configuration process, right? with that said, i'm good with a base model 135i for $33-34k - black with red leather and aluminum trim please
