Crimson Red coupe pics just snapped on 210 of a 128i
My son had just finished his baseball game, (2 tripples,1 single) so I still had my camera in my pocket when we came across a car I have never seen in the flesh. So after much excitement I had the 12 year old slugger snap away.

oh my God, that is the same red 1 series and gray 3 series i saw parked in La Crescenta across Albertson around 2:00 pm this afternoon. I wasn't sure if it was a 1 series coz I was 50 feet away until i saw the roundel and the badges were taped up. the same guy pulled out of parking and drove away following the gray 3.

That is some strong work! Did the driver react to your picture-taking? It makes me wonder if BMW "plants" these cars to be viewed and encourage the rumor mill, or is this normal pre-production testing that we have become more sensitive to?

Hell ya! My son got the drivers attention (the one in the gray car) smiled then tried to snap a picture of his ugly mug. They slowed down a bit and looked a little grumpy, but they really took no action to avoid us. They looked like they were really trying to obey the speed limit. Even if they had run, they wouldn't be able to get away from Wifeys V8 Audi. After all it was only a 128i, not the 135i.

Awesome pics! Thanks so much for sharing!
Anybody else realize how bad the front plate holder looks on this car?.. kind of like a wart on the grill. |

You know, looking at these pictures today, that guy looks HUGE in that car. Is the car really that small?
I've seen plenty of 1er hatches in europe (and thought they looked really small), but I always thought the coupe version would look bigger, kind of like how the e92 looks longer than the the e90, because of the longer doors and glass.... Now I'm wondering. |

I am willing to bet that the guy driving that coupe is at least 6' 4" or taller. If you watch the video on youtube of Jezza Clarkson the height comparo inside the cabin is about the same.

I really dont like this flat red color on the 1series. Color choices will make or break your car. Make it good!
