LeMans blue + Metallic paint $$
Does anyone know if you choose the M package, (which gives you the option of LeMans blue), do you also have to pay the 475 for metallic paint on top of that?

That $500ish up-charge that "premium" auto manufacturers charge for metallic paint is a steaming pile of bullshit, its insulting, and people should not be willing to stand for it. Build a regular car like Toyota or Volkswagen and choosing metallic paint is done by simply checking a box on the configurator with $0 in additional fees. Talk about insulting your customers.

I agree it's bullshit, but metallic cars (especially silver and grey) retain higher resale value than non-metallics. You can therefore push some of that BS down the line when you resell the car.

You'll definitley be paying for any metalic paint. You pay for it on all BMW's and Mini's.
It's really not that bad. Porsche charges anywhere from $1200 to $2400 for metalic paint and they'll change the colors from one level to another from year to year. THAT IS BS. |
