Yes, doors close nicely  Interior materials are on par with what I would expect from a BMW. We'll have to wait for road reviews to know if there are any squeaks/rattles but I wouldn't expect any.

Please don't start that again...do a search for the sunroof thread and you will find all the information that you could ever want to know about sunroofs...

I didn't mean for it to come off as harsh, but sometimes when typing on forums it comes off that way...either way it has been discussed at length and welcome to the boards.

Haha, I knew you'd locate that thread, but there is one that is even older then that. Find that one and you will hit the sun roof jackpot lol...

The interior looks alot like my wifes 2004 X3 did. Same door handles, popup NAV, and even the seats to a certain degree. It has the BMW look
This will be a fun car. I just hope it doesn't have the neck strangling seat belts that my 01 330ci had. I hated the seat beats.

:eyebulge:Wow...I'm impressed with how open that pass-through looks when the seats are folded down
In most of the cars I've owned hole is gets restricted in there making it hard even fit a bike in some cars where it should be easy(my friend's A4 for example). There a chance I might actually be able to get my bike in there with a hole like that:thumbup: And if not, guess I'll just have to live with driving it:headbang: |

Looks about as wide an opening as my e46 M3, which is huge. Recently I bought a desk that wouldn't even come close to fitting into my wife's TSX, but easily fit into my M3 with plenty of room to spare (wasn't good for her self-esteem). Nice to know that the 135 will also have a wide opening as well.

I had my German friend take a picture of the cupholder in the 135i at Frankfurt. This one has iDrive, but it gives us a better look at the cupholders. He said people looked at him strangely for taking the picture. They really don't understand cupholders in Europe!

Another note, that cupholder has to have the armrest raised to be used. Without iDrive, the 2nd cupholder is where the knob is located. That one should be able to be used with the armrest down. Owners of E36/E46 cars like myself should be used to that arrangement.

So any truth to the rumor that north american 1ers w/ iDrive will have a plug-in cup holder similar to the one in the 6 series (and photos of 1ers from europe)? That would solve the armrest problem.
cupholder discussion is just funny to me. |

How did the grear knob feel (I realize that sounds wrong)? Was it weighted?

Speaking of iDrive... These must be from the non-professional navi version. On the 3er, there is a second button next to the 'Menu' button (below the iDrive controller) for activating the voice command, that mimicks the one on the steering wheel.
I assume it's there so that passengers can also use voice commands, since my daughters use it more than I do. |
