bubbles on my ACS roof spoiler
Well i got my ACS roof spoiler from Delsa Motorsports.
The package arrived fast. but i see these bubbles on the flat surface of the spoiler. they look like very small air bubbles, pimple-sized. do you think these can be sanded out? im concerned since i think if u sand it, it may pop and be a hole and then not flat... what do u guys think... what should i do?

sand it down first to see if it is a problem. i dont see why the body shop cant fix it. after all, my body shop ad more plastic to the spoiler. he made it how i wanted it.

i understand if scratches would be covered, and my spoiler does have a few scratches, but this isnt a scratch, these are bubbles and they protrude like thorns on a rose stem. they seem like hollow air bubbles so im afraid they will pop if i sand it.

Hahaha, then it's easy. Just sand it and give it a light spray of some primer... you have to get it painted anyway... you don't have to worry too much about how bad a job you do sanding/primering.

Mine had the same 'bubbles' and small pitted areas. I went to the BMW recommended body shop and they totally took care of it. They said that it wasn't a big deal...they just sanded and spot puttied the areas...primed....then painted. Looks perfect. Color is titanium silver. No need to pain the inside area near the window after install....it would look terrible if you did!

shark thanks u answered all my questions in full. and thanks all u guys... i feel less worried i got a defective one.
but u misunderstood, the paint was on the outside of the car, not the inside. the acschnitzer instructions say to primer the part of the windshield between the glass and the contact area of the spoiler, to block out unsightly glue and tape from the spoiler.

You don't really need to paint the glass where the spoiler contacts the glass because in order to see the tape underneath the spoiler, you'd have to look up and under the rear glass window. It's hard to see unless someone was actually trying to see how it was attached. I don't have the bubble problem you speak of on my spoiler... and I didn't use glue to attach, just double sided tape and you're good to go.

Are you sure that spoiler is not a knock off?
