Although it would be nice if they are right, I think that they are guessing just like the rest of us. Time will tell.

My guess is that the interior is leather in the official photos. Manufacturers tend to show cars that are loaded with options.

I think Car and Driver got it right in their new issue... 27,000 for 128i and 33,000 for 135i. They are already going to steal sales away from the new m3, so priced any lower and it would also take away from the standard 3 series buyers.

I talked to my dealer at BMW Encinitas and she thinks they might be even a bit pricier. BTW im number 1 on the list for european delivery this spring :headbang:

I disagree...Look at the 3 series and 5 series...Nothing interferes with anything there...so I think the 128i will be at 25-26,000 with the 135i being 32,000 and the 3 series being 32,400:roundel:

Yeah - good luck even getting a car.

BMW Encinitas can't do ANYTHING right...

I'd have a backup plan if I were you.

My dealer said he was told the 135i with leather and nav should be around 35K. He has been selling Bimmers for 15 years and knows where to get the inside info.

As far as being on a list, just make sure you get everything in writing!

So Leather And Nav:

Leather: $1,450
Nav: ~$1,800

Total: $3,250

35,000-3,250= $31,750 (135i Base)

135i: $31,750
128i: $25,750

SOUNDS GOOD 2 ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:roundel:

Go to Brecht! They're the best and they race too. (one of their MANY cars above - that's a REAL Trans-Am car)

Hopefully pricing will remain somewhat around the 30k mark for the 135i. What I am interested in also is the weight saved over the 335i. Ive heard 300-400lbs being thrown around the most.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but I am 100% certain it is not 300-400. Its less than 150lbs.

Definitely sad. Though at 100 lbs lighter it is still lighter. My goal now besides power is going to be shaving off 300-400lbs. Hopefully I can pull it off.

When a car like Audi A3 (FF and 4 cylinder) costs almost $26K with cloth seats, why would a BMW with 6 cylinder (coupe and leatherlette, althoug not the real thing) cost less than that?? I wish it (128) would be less than $27K, but there is no way.

We already know from BMW that the 135i stock will be "mid $30's" ...! ($34k ~ $36k base.)

To quote the Hemingway who wrote that article "expect the 128i to come in somewhere around $26,000 or so, with the 135i some $5,000 more." Note the "or so"....or so to me is + 2k on the 128 and +4k on the 135......$31k on the 135 is laughably moronic....

128er, when the 128 bases for 28k, you'll pull the trigger anyway right?....so dont sweat it....128 for 128er @ 28k.....very kharmic, dont you think?
