Lemon Interior...?
Anyone have experience and or feedback with the lemon interior on a BMW? I am pretty much set on the Montego Blue exterior and I know the lemon interior would go great with it, but keeping it clean and scuff free (I imagine) isn't going to be easy... And probably not worth it.
Should I just opt for a darker color? |

yeah im interested in it too. i really need to see it in real life though. if it is essentially white then i won't like it but if it has some more color too it then i might just go for it even though it will be tough to keep clean.
i just don't want my car to look black/white ... but black / off white a little could look really good. :iono: |

I have ordered a 123d in Le Mans blue with Lemon interior. I have never seen a 1 series with this combination only Black with Lemon but in the UK this combo is very common on a 3 series and looks stunning.

Thanks inTgr8r
Now that I see it, I think, like FININK, it would be a bit hard for me to keep clean. Maybe after the kids are gown and gone. It sure does look pretty though.

You all know as well as i do that the lemon interior is awesome, but practicul, HEELLLLLLLL NO.
Unless you have a swedish maid who can keep it clean and not steal it...i would opt for dark. i could not even begion to imagine what would show up on that interior, anything from a stray pen in a pocket to the dye on a new pair of jean. I would be pissed. |

Thats why you just throw some leather cleaner wipes in the dash. it would be worth it to me! Is there anyone else out there besides me getting the boston lemon?

I wouldn't be concerned about the light color, leather wipes clean in 2 seconds. So long as you don't have matching carpet it shouldn't be a problem. BMW has unfortunately saddled us with matching carpet when a light color is selected instead of the Euro combo shown in the photos above. If you can get it the way it is shown above you really won't have a problem keeping it clean. If you have kids you just need to disarm them by removing their crayons etc. My son never caused any real damage to my interior.

I had dove grey in my E36 M3, and I had put on a new red shirt one day. I was sweating in the shirt and it dyed my drivers seat pink. I couldnt get it out, I got it professionally cleaned and it finally came out after 2 or 3 cleanings. So no, i wont be getting Lemon, the lightest i will go is Saddle.

Ok, my experience was with a Porsche, but I really would be surprised if there is any difference in the ability to wipe stuff off. Dye from a new shirt could be pretty devastating as you experienced, I mean we are talking about dye.
Over the years my kid threw up 3x in the back seat, the worst was after he injested some red/pink drink. But it always came out. Although I did almost have coronary arrest on that last one. I stopped so hard it almost made him heave a second time. (gotta love those Porsche brakes). In then end the leather came clean with little effort. Wifes' Audi also has a light color that cleans up easily. |

I got Lemon in my 335i touring, personally I think it is very easy to look after, any marks you see straight away and wipe off.
With LeMans blue..... |
