Car And Driver JUL07 Cover (Dream On!)

Hi there fellas!

New member here joining the 135i future owners gang! :biggrin:

Just thought I'd start posting sharing this image of the July 2007 Issue of Car And Driver that features a Photoshop version of an M1 (they say it's the 135, but it obviously isn't either)

but still, it gives a good idea of how a 1 could look like with M5 wheels (which I like), and shows what reflector type headlights look like in the 1 series (for those who haven't seen them)

That issue has been out for a while. I got mine a few weeks ago. It doesn't really have any useful information either.

Info is very lame, but we can hope to get more in upcoming issues now that BMW NA has announced it officially.

thats actually an old rendering. that issue was published before the press release photos

any body have pic of the cover, i saw another car mag mentioning the 1-series. is it the same.

man i hope the suspension doenst compress in the rear there. there is absolutely no clearance at all back there.

so is this an promotion shot or a photochop that made it to car and driver?

Photoshop and thread from before the 1er was officially released in Mar of this year ('08). This pic IS what put the 1er on my radar though (i bought that issue)

I would trade in the 09' that I haven't taken delivery yet for that car.

I don't think it will happen though.
