Back Seat Photo

The side bolsters in the rear should also be leather like the front seats.

The way they extend the cloth out into the bolsters (front and back) makes the seats look wider than they are :frown:

Another interesting tid-bit is that the Aux-Input is very easy to access (i.e. not being in a glove box or center console).

Wonder what's up with the bigger rear seat headrests. That's becoming a problem today, rear seat headrests are supposed to help protect occupants in a crash, but they are very detrimental to rearward visibility and might cause an accident.

What's strange is that in other photos, the headrests clearly fold down to maximize visibility. Take a look at the headrests in this picture:

Can I just get a black cloth seat without any leather on it at all? I'm not a fan of leather seats.

Probably not unless you move to Europe or go aftermarket. BMW hasn't offered cloth seats in the US for some time. :iono:

They look the same to me, but I haven't seen the car in person so I might be missing something. A fold down option would be a nice feature though.

Not quite true. The 03-06 330i/Ci with Performance Package (ZHP) had cloth/alcantara seats as standard, leather as option. I'd love for the 135i to have something like that.

I was thinking more along the lines of full cloth seats. The cloth/alcantara would be nice.

actually, those headrests in that winding road picture are not folded down - they are in fact a different style of headrest that is quite low - my brother-in-law has them in his 3-series (they are possibly a new style which were not included in the 'black' coupe pics above). my 1 series has the very same headrests as the above pic (not the winding road pic).

Take a look at this picture of a Mercedes C230. In this picture, the headrests are upright. Note that there are grooves where the headrest would fold on top of the bars. This is the same system in the 135i Coupe (and the same one pictured in Winding Road, just with the headrests folded).

I dont know what spec your 1er is but according to this:

Quote:
The 130i SE powered by a 3.0 litre six cylinder 24 valve engine developing 265 bhp through a six speed manual transmission standard features on this model over and above the 120i specification include... three spoke leather sports steering wheel and three foldable rear headrests.
