lease extend

Does bmw allow to extend lease for few months once lease is done? Just wondering as I may buy out lease when done in Dec but may want more time to decide. And will have more questions thrown into the forum for guidance later on.

You can extend your lease for up to two months online, no questions asked. After that, you need to have another BMW in production. I did just this the past three months waiting to pickup my new M550i in Spartanburg.

Unless they changed their policy per NVRfollo , I extended the lease on my F10 at least six months, nothing on order. Just kept calling them up and extending it, no questions asked. I probably could have gone longer if I wanted to.

I have only leased a handful of times, but every time the end snuck up on me and sucked because I was not ready to buy a new car and I was forced to.

2 months extension is with no questions asked.
Anything beyond you need proof of deposit for a new car, gives you total max of 6 months extension (inclusive of the 2 months if you did utilize that)

you get extra miles along with the extra months. at the same rate is my understanding. like whether you did 10/12k etc

Correct, if you extend you will get the current run rate on miles. So if you are on a 12k mile per year lease, you will get 1k miles for each month extended.

I think it limits you to 2-3 months provided you are not over mileage.

Would they adjust the residual down by 2 months payments if you extend for 2 months? Or will they screw you and still make you buy it at the contract residual if that's what you want to do?

my understanding is residual is recalculated as well.
