Progman v32 short review
Hello all,
So, today I had the opportunity to have the new software update installed. It began by the DVD drive scratching and literally etching lines on the outer edge of the disk. Made an appointment to have it checked out. The dealer replaced the drive and also gave me the new 2009.1 disk. I have an 07 e92 335i As far as the update, I feel it definitely made a difference with the cars performance. Could be a placebo effect but the car does feel better than before. As others have mentioned in other threads, there is a ton of torque on the low end (1st, 2nd), the car idles smoothly and extremely quietly. I know this for a fact because this morning before going to the dealer I stopped at Dunkin Donuts to pick up some coffee and while stepping out of the car, it would feel rough and shaky while idling and a faint rattling noise from beneath the vehicle could be heard. The rattle has been there since I got the car back in Feb of 08. I'm really not too sure what that rattle was but its not there anymore after the update. The update also made the gears shift smoothly. While driving in D, I hardly noticed when the car shifted gears. In manual mode, the "lag time" between when you press or pull the shifter and when the actually gear changes also decreased, it seems to be more responsive and instantaneous than before. The sound of the exhaust also seems to be a little deeper than before, sounds just right. Before the update, when I started the car I heard a tiny rattle after the "vrooooooooooooom" part on initial start up. Now that rattle is no longer present. The iDrive seems to be fairly quick in response as well. Going to the "entertainment" section on the iDrive felt quicker than before. Not sure if this is due to the drive being replaced, or the new disk but it definitely made the iDrive more responsive and quicker. That's all I have for now since I only drove the car from the dealership to my house which is about 3 to 4 miles. Over the weekend, I'll push the car a bit more and revert back with my thoughts. If someone cares to give me a little info on how to rip the 2009 disk or make an image of it, and upload it as a torrent, I'll be more than happy to do so.

I'm going to do the exterior first, rims, M-tech kit, painted reflectors, etc.. and minor interior mods such as fog light switch, cloth CF trim, etc. I'll see how much cash I have left from taxes and might go with a tune afterwards. I'm still debating on engine mods though. My car is CPO and I plan on keeping the car atleast 6 years and I don't want the dealer to void the warranty because of an engine mod. I think the car is pretty fast with the update. If BMW comes out with a BMW branded Tune, I might go that route if they decide to keep the warranty intact.

Nice....Tell me more...
I found a torrent.. http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4712...ve_v.32_Update but the download stops at %100 and never ends. I tried burning the file anyways and it worked all the way to the end but the burning failed at the end, the files are present on the CD but I'm afraid to put it in my car and mess up the entire iDrive system. I found another download area but you have to pay to access the download area. If you want the link PM me...

I just loaded the new 2009.1 software on my car, and like tt3 I'm experiencing major improvements in my car's performance. If anyone want to know where I downloaded the files PM and I will be happy to provide you with the link.
