08 e92 335xi trifecta lights

Ok so my car has had the trifecta lights for some time now. The car drives basically normal, however, I have heard a grinding type sound from beneath before (doesn't really happen anymore).

Anyways, this might be a dumb question but I found a transfer case motor for like 100 bucks with a three year warranty on eBay and I was wondering if anyone else used an eBay transfer case motor before.

Side note: I was running Xdelete for a while and then the lights came on, so I installed the front drive shaft or whatever after which I heard the grinding sound. Could it possibly be a front differential issue?

This is most probably bearings failure inside transfer box, not the motor.
