Interested.... PM me with info.

Got a question though....

The second pic of the thread shows the "wide" version. The later pics show the "short" version (on the white car). This is the "short" version you are selling for the E90 right? It does not have the side pieces that come all the way out to the edge of the bumper, does it? I am confused.

Interested. What is the clearance for the diffuser. Will it clear a 3.5" tip?

The Vorsteiner exhaust has 90mm 3.5" tips and the Eisenmann Race/Sport on our M3 has 4x83mm 3.25" tips. This diffuser was designed to accommodate aftermarket tips. I will send you a pm with pricing info

We installed the VRS type II prototype diffuser last night

Type II carbon fiber rear diffuser (E90 M3)

Excerpt from Nate's "Type II" thread:
We just got our first production model here at our warehouse, and it looks really amazing! This new rear diffuser is miles ahead of anything else currently on the market, it's got a few new features that are really impressive. It uses OEM mounting bolts for an easy install, and comes with a special groove for 3M mounting tape built right into the inside of the diffuser for a more flush install. Installed photos coming soon.

The 3M groove is a new feature from Vorsteiner, and should make people very happy. You'll know just where to lay the 3M tape for perfect adhesion, and the thickness of the tape will be buried inside this groove, so that the rear diffuser is perfectly positioned against the rear bumper!

Before the "Type II":
After owning the car for several months (and after installing the Eisenmann Race), the obvious void at the rear of the car was the lack of diffuser. It demanded something beefier...something that "completed" the rear. I had always felt the stock E90 M3 rear just left something to be desired to compliment the exhaust. Having seen Vorsteiner's "Type I" diffuser on our E92 project car and some other friends' cars, I was anxious for what Vorsteiner would come up with - especially being so satisfied with their CF front lip on my car already.

"Type II" Initial Reactions:
In line with what Nate was saying, I was floored by how beautiful and well-thought out the "Type II" diffuser was. I am not often keen to wait for mods, but I can honestly say that this piece was worth the wait. Installation was a breeze since it uses OEM mounting and incorporates a convenient groove for 3M tape application. I love the way that it seems to cradle the Eisenmann exhaust - it really rounds out the rear perfectly and looks like it was meant to be there from the factory. I couldn't imagine having to go back to stock after this!

Polyurethane front lip (E90 M3)

Before the Poly lip:
As some of you may know, one of the first mods on the M3 was the carbon fiber variant Vorsteiner front lip. I never really thought twice about giving any other option a go-around...until Vorsteiner released their polyurethane lip. Although I read some not-so perfect reviews on the board about the lip itself, I thought it best to give it a test myself and see what it was all about.

Initial Impressions - Poly lip:
Side by side, I was surprised to see that the lip is a different design all together from the carbon fiber variant. The poly lip isn't as obtrusive as the CF piece, but I think that was a brilliant design move. To be bold and aggressive...but subtle, painted and appear to be a more cohesive unit of the car itself. I will say this, though, it is a ton more peace of mind vs. the CF piece. Quality-wise, I was MORE than satisfied. I experienced no such fitament issues, defects, flaws or problems during installation. To that I have to say FANTASTIC JOB VORSTEINER!

Honestly, it is a huge toss-up between which I will ultimately keep on the car...and that says a lot about how awesome the poly lip (and Vorsteiner) is considering I love the CF piece so much. I ultimately took the opportunity to swap over to matte black front grilles and a matte black M3 emblem while things were getting done.

All that being said, I will let the pics do the talking so you can see for yourself how fantastic both Vorsteiner pieces are. They are INCREDIBLE. Enjoy the photos!

"Match made in Heaven".... I like that. congrats! and it's looking good.
Is that the E92 Muffler on Mike's E90 or the actual sedan version? The tips stick out just nice even with the diffuser on.
