going to costa rica guanacaste...been there?

Hey guys,

I finally got some vacation time w/ my wife and decided to fly out to costa rica. We'll be lodging in Guancaste, the north western part of the region. Just wondering if anyone had been out there and if I can get some tips on the culture, taboos, and things to do
