This is for a great group drive up through Payson, Strawberry, Pine, Camp Verde, and back. Great scenery, roads, food, and fun. We havent done it in a while.

When: Saturday January 24th, 2009
Where: Meet at Tempe Marketplace, parking lot north of The Keg.
Who: AZBMW members (17 so far) and you!




OK, it would work like this. We meet up at Tempe Marketplace (parking lot north of The Keg) around 9-930am.

Leave at 10 sharp. Radios on channel 4 (I have like 12 radios now if we need em).

Head east on the 202 to the 87 north. Take it up to Payson.

Head straight through Payson (too commercial) north to Pine.

Meet up at the Rimside Grill in Pine (I will make reservations for noon).

Take off whenever, head up through Strawberry.
*Great twisty roads through here

West to Camp Verde (more fun roads)
*SLOW DOWN when we approach the straight into CV, cops hide here.

Meet in Camp Verde at the Shell (last stop).
*Get fuel, whatever, say goodbyes, etc

Haul ass down the 17 back into Phoenix

That is my plan. It is about 250 miles total from Tempe to Tempe. We would be back about 4pm.

I'm going to put myself down tentatively... I'm new to the area (living in Gilbert), and would like to meet some azbmw and e90post people... But gotta check with the better half!

Noooooooooo! Why that day!?! Think I'm gonna be down in Sierra Vista. Maybe I'll take the following Monday off and do Sierra Vista Sunday and Monday. Put me down as a maybe. -Scott

Awesome, I will put you down for a maybe. Hope to see you next Saturday. We have about 4 other E90/2 peeps going. Should be a nice cruise.

I know, it's so hard to pick a day when everyone will be free. I thought Saturday would be the best option. Hope you can come out!

Gig103, you might want to keep tabs on AZbmw.org and AZeuropeans.com
Seems that the majority of the Phoenix people stick to local forums. So it's not often stuff is mentioned on Bimmerpost.

Also, if you haven't gone, the Scottsdaleexoticcarclub.com meet on the last Saturday of each month is definitely worth checking out at least once.

No worries. I will post the events up, but we have euro meets every 1st and 3rd Thursday's of every month. I won't post those here.

The meets on the 1st Thursday's are at EVOMS (http://www.evoms.com) and the meets on the 3rd Thursday's are at the In n' Out by Ray and I-10.

Probably worth your time to join azbmw.org and check every now and again.
