CSF Charge Coolers - Reviews/comments?

Hi! I am looking to add the CSF Charge Coolers to my 2019 M5 Comp. Does anyone have any experience with them? Pros/Cons? Did it effect anyone's engine in a bad way? Do they throw any code? Would you consider them a safe mod to our engine?

Any input would be great! Thanks!

I installed the coolers weeks prior to installing Carbahn stage II. I did not notice any difference. They are much heavier than stock. There are earlier posts on this topic. One comment is that it is great if you are running laps around a race track. Quartermile, not so much. I would put $$ elsewhere

Thanks for the feedback. No cons about them with your setup? No engine issues caused by the added airflow to the turbos? (if money is not an issue or discounted price point for them)

Buy the heat exchangers for the coolant as well and build your motor and run bigger turbos. One person who did all that dropped 3/10th second 60-130 mph time.

Do you run the CSF Charge Intercoolers? Do you have any issues with them? I am just looking at the charge intercoolers at the moment.

No. I have just researched and considered them but they add no performance on their own so I see no point other than the meth bung on the cold side. I have been running my meth into the balance tube on the hotside as BMS suggests for the simplest install.

I experienced no drawbacks besides the $ and added weight.
(no unforeseen engine code, etc)

Pain in the rear to remove stock IC because the compressor and throttle body rubber connectors were stuck 360 degrees to the IC. Made me think maybe BMW used sealant on the inside of the connectors.

I am doing this for the meth bungs on the cold side — right now I have my meth plumbed in the balance tube on the hot side using the BMS kit. Later, I will install new front heat exchangers to add capacity to the system and improve the heat exchange. Without that, the research suggests the fancy IC do little to nothing for performance. They definitely add core capacity — they are physically as large as will fit in the available space.

What heat exchangers are you referring to? Who makes them?

Carbahn sells them, but they look identical to the CR Racing ones. But Carbahn may use custom mounting brackets.
