Touchless behavior

Just took delivery of 2023 X5 xdrive40i this past Wednesday and really love it. For the touchless comfort access, is there a way to configure it to open All Entry when I walk up, not just the driver door?

Check your setting for your key, there is an option for All Doors.

Thanks, it worked. So the walk up will do whatever you set the unlock on the key fob to do.

The other night I came home in my 2023 X5, parked in my driveway, and my neighbor was out in his driveway so we had a chat. The whole time we were talking, bc I have Comfort Access set, my X5 kept unlocking, locking, beeping, mirrors going in and out, etc.. I had to walk away from it just to have the conversation.

I think I read that if I get out to e.g. fill up gas and it CA locks but I hit the lock button on the fob twice it will disable interior motion detector so a passenger can get out without setting off the alarm. Is there any fob sequence I can press to temporarily disable CA so that it is not constantly activating when I am standing near my X5 talking or doing something?

There's no defeat magic code sequence to disable comfort access...it works as you've defined in iDrive. Now, if you carried around a Faraday cage, or a static isolation bag and put the fob in that, that should solve it!

For me, since I've got to grab the handle to open the door, I don't really see the big advantage to having it unlock before I get there. If others need to enter, they can wait for me to get to my door, or I may open the passenger's door, which unlocks all of the doors. If you grab the driver's door twice in quick succession, it would unlock all of the doors, regardless of how you have iDrive set.

Currently shopping for a certified x5. Is this feature available on all years in the US?

It has been available for all model years but only became standard on the 40i in MY20. In MY19 is was part of the convenience package.
