That was my first thought and that may be all it is, but that exclamation point over the hood is something I’ve never seen. I can’t tell for sure, but it looks like there may be some red around the outline of the hood.

Car is seeing the hood isn't latched. If it was just the driver door, it's a white triangle, not red (at least on my car).

I thought it was a picture of an open drivers door, but it could be an arrow pointing at the hood release lever.

That's exactly what it is. Start your car, leave the door open, and pop the hood release and you see that icon combination.

Hood not correctly latched, open hood completely then slam from about 1 foot up...male sure nothing is blocking hood open.

Fully agree with your first reply. I just went to the garage to confirm the lighting.

One of those "fun" human brain things where you see the indicators, but really don't retain the color, or exactly when they pop up.
