Eco drive after recent recall

Last month I had the recall done on my car. One side effect of it seems to be the eco drive "regeneration". Not sure what its official name is but the display that tells you how many miles you have regenerated through braking.
Prior to recall I would be lucky to achieve 15 miles or so on this for a full tank.
With my latest fill, I am sitting at 12 miles and have only done about 90 miles so far.

Anyone else noticed this. Coincidence?

This is not an EV or hybrid. I doubt "regen" would be any significant value. The only effect is to use braking to charge the battery, so the generator does not have to burn gas to charge it.
