The wait is almost over. Just got these from the dealer today. Will be getting Expel on the front half plus ceramic window tint with scheduled pickup on Friday.

It will be my DD. The outgoing F80 has the front PPF'd and that covered 99% of my issues.

Was out driving today and got invited to add my car to a local car show. Still need to do some shots in the sunlight. The drive home from San Antonio to Houston yesterday was really nice, except for all the traffic on I-10. Can't wait for the break in period to be over and see what it really can do.

Even when a vehicle is clean and you wipe it down with a detailing spray, the possibility of introducing swirl marks in the clear coat can happen. This can be easily seen with darker colored cars and under led lights. When I bought my 15 M3 new in July of 2014 I had the full front end done with PPF. Even using the two-bucket wash method and using a battery powered leaf blower to dry the car I still could see very fine swirl marks in the paint and my M3 was white. My M5 has the entire vehicle covered in PPF and I will do the same with my next vehicle. While it cost more, I do not have to pull out the Flex polisher to do paint correction. I wipe the M5 down with detail spray and no scratches. |
