Exclusive Ivory White Leather Package
New Z4 press release talks about Exclusive Ivory White Leather Package (which I believe is shown in the Official Hi-Res Photo Gallery interior shots). If the Ivory White leather is anything like the Lotus White leather I had in a 2002 Z3, then beware that it's a bitch to keep clean. I had eventually reached a point where even professional detail shops couldn't get it 100% clean.

The Jade Grey leather on my 325i coupe is every so slightly showing some signs of dirt, but the reason I went for it was because of the terrific contrast with the dark carpets. The new Z4 will have black leather for sure.

Lotus Whit Z3
Here's my old Z3 with the Lotus White interior. Looked good on day one - not so good as time went by.

I always had a fantasy of having white leather in a car, but I don't think it could stay clean too long. I would even afraid to wear a jean in the car, because with some sweat it might stain the seat.
I mean, I'm sure I could take a good care of it, but i'll definately be paronoid of it all the time. |
