Any features missing from your 2023 G05?

I'm expecting a dealer-configured '23 X5 x40i soon.
After reading about missing features / parts availability, am wondering how this will affect 2023.

Things I'm looking out for based on other posts:
- Climate Control display: Mono vs Multi color
- Gentleman switch
- Adaptive mode button
- Touchpad on controller
- Fold down levers in tailgate area
- I guess fog/driving lights disappeared some time ago.

Incidentally, mine will have the "Luxury Seating Pkg" including [Massage] which does not appear in the current configurator.

Folks have been reporting that their 23s have the multi-color climate control. The adaptive button was removed from the non-air suspension 40i's awhile ago, this seemed to be a design change not a parts availability issue.

As an aside, there is not such thing as an M40i. The M and numbers denote an M Performance vehicle. I'm assuming you mean you are getting a 40i with the MSport package. Congratulations and hope you get it soon. Good luck, enjoy and be safe.

Thanks TB, I made the correction (X5 x40i w/M-Sport)

Glad to hear about the color climate display..
I won't mind if the Adaptive button is missing.

What is the Gentleman switch?

My ‘23 order has gesture controls and I drive controller touch eliminated.

Also, it is my understanding that Comfort packages from earlier g05s are nowhere to be seen (soft close doors, quieter glass etc). Not sure when these were removed from configurator?

Yep those extra frills are all gone, even the heated and cooled cup holders. Executive is basically just a slightly nicer Premium now.

It is a button on the driver's door that allows you to control the passenger seat with the driver's seat controls.

mdecoder.com shows my VIN has this deletion: S6UX Deletion BMW Controller Touch Function

I'm finally glad to be a lefty! Never used it in my X3. X5 arriving soon and will post an update.

So, they removed Gesture Controls from all 2023 X5 models? Even the M50i?

I loved using that!

No Gentleman's switch either.

Can't be sure from these pics, but it appears the driver alert sensor may be the older style that protrudes forward.

My 2022 doesn’t have gesture control.

Gentleman’s switch appears to be on cars with multi-contour seats.

EDIT: at least, it’s on an M50i that I found pics of at Passport BMW.

They are the latches in trunk that allow you to lower rear seats, you have to lower them using latches on rear seats through the back doors.

Circled in Red in this photo. Older models (MY19-MY21) have the latches to release the 2nd row seats. They have disappeared from MY22.

Is the passenger lumbar support missing? "048Y Driver Lumbar support only" is showing up in my build but dealer said he sees the X5 arriving with the passenger lumbar support.

I picked up my 2023 X5 xDrive40i today.

Missing:
- Gesture Control (unexpected, but don't care)
- Touchpad-typing (as expected, but don't care)
- Adaptive Button (as expected. Has HDC & Auto-H)
- No fog lights or rear seat pull-down lever (as expected)

Present:
- Gentleman's Switch (I have multi-contour seats)
- Passenger seat lumbar (seats are identical)

1. What about the missing rear seats latch releases? Missing like on the 2022's?
2. What about the electronic closing of the bottom half of the rear hatch?

thanks for the info.

2. The automated lower rear hatch was only removed for a period of time last Spring and has not been removed since.
