Captain's chairs + big dogs

Hey all, just wondering for those of you with the captain's chairs 2nd row - is there enough room in between them for a medium to large size dog to lay down? I'm talking around 65 lbs of golden-doodle but mostly floof for his bulk. Trying to figure out if there's enough room for walk-through to the 3rd row + dog lay down in the middle. No dealers around me seem to have the captain's chairs and there's only 1 coming in in the next few weeks.

Pics of the puppers are welcome, of course

Maybe if you removed the armrests and forced them into position.... but even then, they have the little center console with the cupholders to contend with, and it's a bit of a hump with maybe 10-12 inches of space between the greasy rails, sharp plastic covers, etc.

My 35 pound dog wasn't even able to get comfortable laying down on the captain's chair itself (too shallow), she either rode shotgun or in the rear until we got our second X7 with the bench.

We checked out the captain's chair before ordering and thought our 60lb dog may not fit comfortably in between the seats. And I know ours will not stay in that one position for long. We opted for the bench seat.

No there wouldn't be enough room for a large dog and still probably not much room for a small dog.

I just came from a Yukon with Captain's seats and you could def fit the dogs in that but X7 there is hardly any space between the seats. I def still prefer the captain's seats but that's because of my kiddo's. You could always put 3rd row down and put a weather tech mat down. That's what we do for our 2 dogs.

Here's a pic with the arm rests down.
(Don't mind my seat cover)
