License plate wrap?

https://www.motor1.com/news/585925/c...ate-wraps/amp/

Interesting. I think it looks uglier than actual license plates. I’ll still risk getting a ticket.

"Are you tired of front license plates ruining the look of cars? Well, it may be time to move to California"

What an incentive...

Or to Nova Scotia where front plates are not only not required, they are not even given out.

PS. That reminds me, I've got to renew my registration by the end of the month.

Have gone for many years here in SoCal with no front plate. Never got stopped for it or got a ticket for it.

Careful, though, OP. It can be used as a reason to stop you, according to our local LEO, Sedan_Clan. So watch your Ps and Qs.

You could get an app for that and go digital for $215/year for 4 years

I've never been stopped for no front plate (crossing fingers it never happens). Have been ticketed while parked, though. Pain is ass to get it cleared.

That sucks.

And I agree that the front sticker plate is not attractive.

Nice to not have to drill holes, though.

Didn't even know this was a thing. However, I think most people's complaint about a front plate is that they don't want anything there at all.

No front plates either in New Brunswick.

Forgot about the tow hook front plate mount.

Another option that requires NO drilling.

Definitely. SoCal is pretty relaxed on front plate business.

That’s a hard negative for me..

There are a few LA/OC vinyl wrap shops who can wrap your actual license plate(s) in whatever color combination you wish. I actually had mine vinyl wrapped with white lettering on black background and M stripes.

Like so

It’s a possibility..In a event of getting pulled over, peel off vinyl wrap and original license plate finish is exposed again. It’s not like I permanently altered any of the characters and my tags are visible so

Over here I took off my front screwed in plate then filled in the small holes and after levelling was painted to blend in. Then fitted a shortened plate with Honda double sided tape, these don't loosen after a while like other cheaper tapes. The same went for the rear plate except no painting as the holes were closer together and those holes were covered with duck tape behind the plate.

this isn't about ruining the front of your car. Liberals have found new ways to save precious metals.

Over 20 years, I’ve never been pulled over for it.

I have been pulled over for something else and got a warning for the moving violation and a fixit-ticket for the plate. Where I live getting it dismissed is super easy barely an inconvenience

I do avoid parking anywhere with meters bc meter maids do ticket for it. Actual cops don’t care.

Got pulled over the first week of owning the car. Decided to go for the tow hook mount instead of drilling holes. I know it's not for everyone. You can probably barely see it in the sig pic because of the angle.

MA used to have rear plates only but that changed in the 90s.

This wrap thing looks horrible IMO.
