People like hanging a tennis ball so it hits the windshield when you’re in place, I would look for a small plastic curb at Harbor Freight or other hardware store.

I had the same issue. My depth perception has gone to shit as I've gotten older. I was either hitting my workbench or not pulling in far enough to close the garage door. I looked at high tech options and none seemed workable. I went low tech with a couple of empty mixed nut canisters filled with sand. Poke a hole in the top and stick in a driveway marker (like you'd use in winter to mark out the driveway). Then put it right where you want the nose of your vehicle to be. I drive in until I see the marker move a tad and then stop or maybe back up just an inch or two.

That said, if you have a really nice looking garage (I don't), then maybe go with the tennis ball hanging from the ceiling. It looks cleaner.

I use these from Amazon.

Ideally, you drill two holes and drop some long bolts to keep them from sliding.

I have four pvc pipes. I put the car in the position that was optimal for me and then liqiuid nailed them to the floor. I put the liquid nails on and smoothed it out to a 45 degree angle and it is awesome. I can feel the car go over the first two and then rocks in its place. no need to set the emergency brake.

I use a tennis ball on a string and it works great. Easy, low-tech solution.

My daughter uses a parking assist laser beam device like this one. That works well too. You can find them on Amazon.

If you put bumpers down you have something to trip over. Not good.

I found a small Maxton Design decal in my toolbox, it's about one square inch. I stuck it to my garage wall, when I pull in I look to my left and pull forward until my door lock pin lines up with the decal on the wall. Works like a champ.

I have shelves at the front of the garage above the hood of the car that I can pull in under. I hung a large rubber washer (what I had handy) from a string off the edge of the bottom shelf. If I come in perfectly, the rubber sits on the Roundel. Once the string moves (I tied a bow on it to make its movement more visible), I’m far enough in for the garage door to close; much more and I’ve damaged the drywall.

I back in and go until it looks like I'm going to hit the Christmas decoration box, my wife pulls in until I can't open the beer fridge. She then proceeds to tell me I can park her car if I don't like it

I've had 2 concrete wheel stoppers 'glued' in position where the car should stop. Was really easy to park, go until it doesn't go any further.
I guess depending on the type of garage you might trip over them with no car in the garage.

I have 2 different ones, one for our SUV, and one that's lower for my cars. Not sure what I'd do without them. You can see them both in these 2 pictures.

The bigger one is THIS ONE I believe.

I was unable to find the lower one I have, but it's similar to THIS ONE

I saw one setup on Amazon where the tennis ball on a string was run through a pulley wheel and the end of the string was attached to the end of the garage door. So when the garage door closes, the tennis ball raises up out of sight. When the door opens, the tennis ball is lowered to windshield level. Pretty slick, but more effort than I want to put into it.

I had one in our garage for a while because the Wife couldn't seem to use the parking cameras on the X when pulling in the garage. After I tripped on the damn thing a few times it went in the trash. Since I'm out working in my garage all the time it was a bigger issue to me then her parking. I did hang a ball that hits the front grill at the right spot for her to stop. it works some times.

Yeah, it's a thick rubber that grips the floor, no need for adhesive.
