Never used sport mode

It’s been ~2 years since I bought my 2020 X3MC and I’ve never used the middle “Sport” mode. I’ve got it either on all comfort or all sport+ (all settings to max).

I’ve always been an all or nothing guy but I’m curious if I should be trying the sport mode? What is the benefit? What’s your use case?

Sport mode is my favorite mode. Allows for a more aggressive experience, but not 100% focused (i e shifting yourself 100%, traction off, etc)

Sport Mode is great, especially around town when you don't want a dull throttle response and you want a little noise.

S1 and S2 manual gear modes are nonsensical to me - why are they even needed?? D1/2/3 I get as it's in auto, but why slower manual changes?

It's a very rare occasion I have my car in auto mode. Very very rare. My default start up is m1 which my brain is trained to do without even thinking about it.

I use s1 when I'm driving around say my parents. Don't need slap in the back quick shifts for that or times when you have a headache or driving in heavy traffic. Comfort while being in control of the shifts.

My default m1 startup is sport, comfort, comfort, s2
Works great for the daily stuff.

Thanks for the replies. Will have to do some experimenting.

I also never use manual mode. I used it one time and couldn’t see the purpose as it was awkward compared to a clutch peddle and stick shift for this old school dude.

I paid for the M Sport exhaust in the Competition model, so I use Sports+ mode nearly 100% of the time. I want to hear that exhaust.

Same, I used to have the issue where when I wasn't tuned yet and I'd konami code startup and my instrument cluster would crash. SA told me regardless of how I turn on the car, it still shouldn't do it, 2 cluster replacements later, and it no longer crashes.

Yesss, it makes the experience even better when the paddles are upgraded to ones a bit longer. I ONLY drive the car in S+ especially now its louder but driving in traffic with it is a bit annoying
