Trade-in 2019 X7 for 2022 X7

I am being quoted around $77k for my 2019 X7 40i (bought @ $87k).
It will be 3 years old this summer. I was wondering if that is a good deal. I am also nervous about ordering a new one due to some reported delays.
Also,I was not sure which options would be deleted compared to my 2019 X7.

Thanks

With a trade in like that, I would say to do it as you would also be getting warranty all over to protect you going forward.

We were in the same boat. We were offered $73k (paid $83k) for our 2019. We placed our order in late November, received a production number a week afterwards and the 2022 was just dispatched from the factory this week. Outside of the Hifi vs HK, we did not have any deleted options.

The longer build for us was apparently due to some individual options (color, trim and leather.)

Our rationale is the same with considering a refreshed warranty and new tires it made sense.

Holly hell. I traded in my 2019 a year ago and didn't get anywhere near that. How can they even mark it up at that price. What crazy people are paying near msrp for a 3yr old car? People are stupid. Mine did have 44k miles though.

Buy the car and not the warranty. Make sure the cars are equivalent in options as the 2022 line up has been severely neutered in standard equipment and options.

The only thing holding me back from placing an order for an X7 is the LCI.

We just traded in our 19 xdrive50i with 14k miles for $83k and picked up a 21 m50i. Was going to wait for a 22 but found a low mile 21.

I know. It is kind of a rock and a hard place. Let's see. My biggest worries is to miss out on basic features such as touchscreen, heads up display because of the chip shortage.

Was there any issue due to chip shortage - heads up display, touchscreen etc..?

I just placed an order and it's already scheduled for production. There's no deletion of touchscreen, heads up display etc. The only option missing from my 40 order is the HK stereo and then the Idrive controller touchpad missing. Wireless charging and enhanced bluetooth is back and shows on my build.

Fortunately, no deletions on our order. I believe we submitted ours right after the touchscreens were back.
