After scouring posts all evening, I can't find an answer as a new owner. Is it possible to upgrade my display screen to the larger version by just swapping and coding?

2018 330xi, no navigation, ENAVEVO head unit, NBT Evo ID6

yes - get correct part & code in the change.

check out realoem.com and enter in the last 7 of your vin. From there, you can browse to the audio/nav section & see what part number is listed for the 8.8 screen.

Yes, I have the exact same config in my 2019 and the swap was simple with the correct screen. See my post with coding here:
