22' 742M Black Rims Scratched

Been driving my m4 with low profile tires for years without any issues and sure enough, 2 weeks into new ownership of a G05 x5, my fiance has managed to now scratch both the passenger side front and rear 22' 742M black wheels

Is there a cheap and easy fix to paint over the scratch with some type of touchup paint. I found a few samples on amazon like MagicEzy but not sure if there are better alternatives besides taking it into a shop. I know it wont be perfect and most likely will look off but given its only 2 weeks into ownership, I just want to blend the scratched paint.

Should've bought that wheel and tire package in hindsight

I dont have an issue taking it into a shop but this will most likely happen again, and again. I just want to see if someone has a suggestion for DIY touch up paint. And maybe once every couple of years ill take it to a shop for a proper fix.

Any black paint would do as a touchup fix to hide blemishes - you won't be able to make it look as nice as new again anyway without taking it to professional repair or performing it on your own.
Good luck!

No mention of getting a new fiancé…Maybe you should put 19 inch wheels on with a great set of tires. Perhaps even go to a +1 sizing to provide sidewall higher than curb cement.

We need to put our loved ones into the best position for achieving success.

I see an easy fix right there. It's not too late.

All joking aside - black touch paint is easy to find and you can DIY if this is gonna be a frequent thing. Won't be able to tell unless you look closely if you do a decent job.

I have DIY'ed this exact repair and you will know it's there. Looks fine from a distance but every time you walk around that side of the car you will see the damage.

Any DIY paint will do the trick. Also, once a quarter you can probably get them repaired. Around here it'll run you $250 for 2 rims and it's a mobile service too.

I bought the wheel package, I’ve used it once so far, sounds like you needed it more than me!

A sharpie will mask the damage in a pinch. Filing smooth, and touch up paint will be a far better long term fix.

I bought touch up paint from BMW that is an exact match. I can't remember the exact color, and I'm out of town so I can't check. But ya, unless you get really close, it blends right in, especially with all the break dust.
