I know you all like a new car order on here, so thought I would share mine. Gone for a X5 30d M Sport. Wanted a touch of luxury and comfort. Not a company car so couldn't justify the 45e and the type of miles we do suit a big old diesel better.
Added the following M sport plus pack Technology plus pack Also treated myself to the Sky lounge panoramic sun roof. Got a cracking deal from my local dealers which I still can't believe plus I had 6K equity in my X3 M40D. Originally had a Q7 ordered but wobbled a bit and then wife and daughter piled in and said they didn't like it. So after looking at an XC90 it was back to BMW. Extra bonus was the wife felt guilty about the Q7 so encouraged me to add the extras I wanted. Delivery sometime in July. |

Welcome to the club - few of us on here still with G05 X5s. I moved from the previous gen last summer and it really is a cracking machine, sky lounge does add a touch of specialness with the roof lighting.
How long are you having to wait just out of interest?

Very sharp car. Will be undoubtedly the reason for smiling while on a long drive. Congratulations!

They are estimating around five months but it does mean that things like the HK sound system will be available. |

Agree, you won't be disappointed.
Did you go for 22" wheels or 21"? I find the 21s too bumpy even with air suspension. I hear 22s are OK as they are non-runflat. |

I have an X5 45e on order, but will cancel next week, as have just bought a X3 M40i instead. Decided I wasn't quite ready for a full size SUV yet!
I think they're a really cracking car though, and I'm sure you'll enjoy. Looks like Arctic grey? I changed a colours and spec quite a bit, started with Arctic grey, went to blue but eventually settled on Dravit.

They have confirmed HK will be available by the time mine is built. I am guessing the chip shortage pressure is easing slightly.

I went for the 21" and found them just right for us. One of the main things that went against the Q7 for my wife and daughter was the floaty nature of the ride, they preferred the firmer ride in the X5.

The 21 star Marked oems are either pirellis or hankooks AFAIK. I had pirellis and once I hit 20k miles on those tyres went with the hankook ventus s1 evo3 k127. Ride is so much more comfortable over broken roads its sublime and wet n dry grip etc is comparable.Steering feel is reduced compared to pirellis. Hankooks aren't perhaps considered a premium brand but I can see why bmw star marked this particular one. |

The 745e is one model that interests me as a potential replacement for the 8GC. It can do all of the day to day stuff for me on battery, but unlike any of the EVs, can also do 300+ miles at 90mph. |

I like the all round practicality! With winter wheels on on, it's the workhouse in the snow and then goes to the other extreme as can blow away the cob webs when you want to exercise your right foot!!! |
