Anyone here still waiting for the delivery of a 330e? When did you order? What timelines is your dealer giving you?

I’m from Portugal, ordered mine on 20-Dec and now when I ask the dealer about updates, they’re still saying “March as a probable build date”. I’m a bit frustrated with all this uncertainty. Just need a date.

I ordered mine end of Jan (320e, not 330e though). After receiving the contract, it stated a delivery date by end of August!

We're now a few weeks further and I sent my Sales Rep an email yesterday but he didn't reply yet because he's probably on a personal holiday (it's like a holiday season right now where I live). I do expect some feedback by end of next week.

My gut feeling is saying that I will not have a production date yet, however, I did receive an order number (not referring to the contract number) 2 days after I made the first down payment. Not sure if this is a good sign.

I'll keep you posted about my progress. I'm based in Poland btw.

Any updates from your side after starting your post?

I’ve just received an update from my dealer. Apparently the car is now in Production and expected delivery 13 March.

Sent me something like “SE expected 13/03/2022” No clue on what SE means but anyway it’s good news as I was expecting production to begin in March and now March seems to be the date I’ll get the car. I hope 🙂

Great news! I still haven't heard from my Sales Rep.. I guess he's still on holiday or maybe on sick leave. Anyways, I'll ping him again beginning next week.

Do you have a lot of additional options on your 330e?

Mine has some options ticked, m sport with drive assist, adaptive suspension, park assist plus, lumbar support and that’s mainly it

I'm guessing the more options you tick, the longer it gets.
However, reading through other posts, it doesn't allows add up..

You'd expect some kind of logic to the ordering process but I guess not.
Reading other threads showing people have to wait 3 months, some 7 months for basically the same car

Anyways, I guess the only thing we can do is wait and keeping fingers crossed :-/

Yeah, their ETA should improved. It seems (based on madtuga) that they are informing you once already in production, so they cannot give you a time estimate when production will start.

I guess that's fair enough but sometimes they know when it's scheduled (which can still shift until then I guess). Even knowing that would be nice.

If my guy doesn't respond by end of this week, I'm gonna give him a call early next week.

So I just learned that my car is scheduled for production on the 14th of April if nothing changes and it will be built in Munich!

Indeed, roughly 3.5 months between ordering and the (preliminary) production date.

Looking through the forum, it can take 1 week up to several from actual production to transport so it's a bit hard to judge.
However, since it's coming from Munich, I don't have to worry about ships and whatnot. Probably just a truck that has to drive ~1100 km from Munich to Warsaw (so like 2-3 days trip?)

I'm planning to give my Sales Rep another call beginning of April to find out if the date still stands by then.
Fingers crossed but yeah, pretty excited :-D who knows, I'll get the car around or on my birthday (mid May)

What I won't have, afaik

• Lumbar support for the passanger seat due to chip shortage (don't care)

• I chose not to have the wireless charging, like yk, where the cup holders are
• I chose not to have the window blinds in the back that you can pull up or down. I felt it's unnecessary.. my kid likes looking out the back windows so we're good

Cool! Strange, here in Hungary the Harman KArdon system is supposed to be on a "banned" list, as was wireless charging.
As for the no touch screen, were you given 500USD? I read that they give that amount to costumers, or order them in for an upgrade once touch screens are available.

As far as I know, I should have the touch screen.
The sales guy did not say anything that it's a limited option or that it could be removed later on or anything to that extent. This was back in January.
In the purchase agreement, it's not explicitly mentioned either like other options, e.g. "Resignation from the iDrive touch controller"

So, from my perspective, I do expect it to be there.
It would really s*ck if that gets canceled though


The HK system was "at risk" (I forgot how he phrased it). In the end, it meant that there was no guarantee so I have two options in case this turns out to be a problem
1. Resign from it and switch to the HiFi system
2. Keep it and postpone the build date
As long as I don't get any news from my Sales Rep, I assume I will have the HK system.

All of this is still uncertain regretfully. April 14th is still plenty of days away so lots of things can still change.

Everything will become clearer once I get the VIN number.
I read in the forums that you can check which options you have or are removed when checking the VIN number. There are tools that can help you with that.

Yeah, the touch screen should be there. I read somewhere else that this was an issue, so BMW rolled out the cars without touch screen, gave the customer 500 USD and ordered the car into touch screen upgarde once they had the chips for that.

It sucks, cause without that you wont have the reverse assistant as well afaik.
Thank god the Idrive is super good, so wont be a major issue, and also voice command is functioning well. I would be more pissed if the climate control was not working due to chip shortage

We're just in uncertain times right now..
I saw a news article yesterday that, due to the war in Ukraine, BMW and Volkswagen are (temporarily) shutting down factories in Germany due to shortages. Apparently they receive goods and materials from Ukraine (didn't know that actually)

It does seem that BMW is already talking to different companies to limit the delays.
Keep in mind that not only we are affected by it, but also the workers in the factory. I don't know how the labor laws work in Germany but I'm pretty sure those workers should get paid (100% or a bit less perhaps) regardless.
