No surprises here and I bet the victory margin would have been much higher on a drier track.

The carwow shenanigans are getting old though.

Yeah, it's getting kinda creepy lately. Uncomfortably so.

Another takeaway is that relative to its peers the Audi kinda sucks.

In a world of silent EVs, it's nice to see a lineup of quad tailpipes and V8s though. Thank the car gods that we even still have these vehicles available to drive…

Glad to see that M5 didn't fall flat on its face in the wet

People commenting about Carwow. I don't know, they are still entertaining and their videos are still done very well vs what I've have seen from others.

Wish they would of included an M5 CP, curios to see if there would be any real world difference in straight line performance vs the lighter (and slightly more powerful) m5 CS

Exactly. It's just folks having fun with ridiculous cars. That it isn't really scientific is an idea that sailed long ago. Plus, with these multi-car drag races, there's just so many factors to account for, I don't see how it could be any more than just for entertainment. None of this is gospel

This outcome was never in doubt. I'm less certain about how the M5 CS would do against the M8 Competition Coupe, though. An M-only drag race would be fun!

Yes, if you get the M5 Competition with Carbon Ceramic brakes the weight difference is not that great.

I'm clearly biased but LOL @ peers. These are performance versions of the cars compared to the base version of the RS6. Looking forward to Audi dropping an RS6 Performance one day, if ever!

I like these
Yeah they are similar, still cool

M5 cs is fast, no a big surprise

Porsche color is awesome and that shooting brake design is something

Disappointed with Audi for sure, good looks and no more legendary power and speed compared to its class rivals

Yeah, I Saw a Tesla Model 3 performance go full acceleration today to make it through an intersection before a red light. No sound but tire friction. It was weird. Like it had run out of gas and was gliding through. I couldn't help but think "something is missing". It's like watching a video with the mute button on.

You need to come join the fun at the "Is ICE going extinct…" thread in the G80 forum 😆

M8 CP completed 1/4 mile drag race in 11 seconds in other battles from carwow. However there is one video showing 10.7 seconds.
