What is your opinion on the 370's SyncroRev match manual

I just read off of Nissan's website that the manual transmission (not automatic) will match rpm's when downshifting and the like. I'm not sure if this is old news but how do you guys feel about this?

I'm a die hard manual fan and would take a clutch and shifter over paddles no matter how much faster the paddles are. This rpm matching might be a little obtrusive in taking away from the experience of driving a manual. How do you feel?

(sorry if this is a repost)

What exactly is it? It automatically blips the throttle when you downshift?

I dunno. Sounds pretty tight to me. If there's a way to switch the system on and off I'd really consider it.

Could be the perfect solution to traffic.

On my 06 TL that was 6-speed, the ECU would revmatch on the upshift, only when not WOT. Like if I was in 3rd gear 5000rpms, Push in the clutch and the RPM's would drop and hold for a few secs at a certain RPM before going all the way down.

Wish I could explain it better.

IT'S OPTIONAL FEATURE!! it's not included in the regular manual tranny.

It's definitely a cool feature, but i'll stick with using my feet. Not to mention, what happens when you switch to another car and wonder why the car shakes violently when you downshift.

Guys, It's an option, if you want it, get it, if you don't then don't get it, and if you're undecided, there's an on/off button.

As for the feature itself, i think it's great for people who likes to decide to get the manual because they can step on the clutch anytime they want, and feel that you have control over your car, but are not skilled enough for h-t. I belong to that category, my leg isn't very flexible...and I suck.
