Does anyone else see the black grill and dark headlining now missing on the UK configurator for the M40 ?

Ok, tried Chrome and initially, it looks ok but when I change colour from default white the grill goes silver and the headlining is white....

Gadzooks you're right sir, however if you look in the optionals (standard) is showing:

BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line with extended contents
For a Sporty, luxurious touch the Extended High-gloss Shadowline exterior trim features a Black kidney grille (frame and struts in high-gloss Black) and tailpipe finishers in Black Chrome.

Available as part of the M Sport Pro Pack on M Sport models and standard on M40i/d and M40i/d M Pro Edition models.

Yup, Anthactite headlining also shows as "standard" in the options breakdown.

It's either an error in the configurator or this is now it will be and the feature list just hasn't been updated to match the image yet.

I know there are issues with black grill availability in the US, so this might be real.

For me, a white headlining and chrome grill wouldn't be acceptable and I'd bail if a car arrived with this.

What's the situation in the UK if a car arrives at the dealer but isn't the spec that was ordered ?

Yup, it's weird !

It lets you add the Tech Plus Pack, but doesn't show the interior camera or radar outside.

Also, Cognac M Sport seats @ +£960 still show as standard sports seats not M....

Very concerning. Surely this must be a mistake. I can’t imagine they would downgrade that many parts on an M car. The X3M is still showing as normal

What status are you at? First port of call for me would be to check with the dealer about your order then also ask if you were to try order today what the ordering system allows you to do/not do. It may be that new orders won't get the black grille but existing ones will do. The loss of black headlining is odd though and we know the configurator has it's moments...

Looks like same issues for X4 also. The grille can be changed easilly after delivery but the headlining is a whole other issue.

Didn't check everything but the grill is black, as is the headlining, and the dash/steering looks correct.

When I put in the sunroof the grill turns chrome, the roof rails silver and the headlining white.

Defo working correctly on my Edge browser, but I did clear it down before using the Configurator.

Just configured this is with Pano roof, and the roof lining is showing in anthracite...
