Broken windshield replacement tips?
Hello,
Unfortunately got hit with something while parked. Looks like probably a ball of some sort. Cracks go all the way to the edge. Any specific issues to look out for in replacement? Sensors? OEM vs aftermarket glass? Should I tape up outer paint? Cover up dash w towel? Thanks |

Had mine replaced last month at 14000 miles. Looks like a stone chip near the cameras, then it cracked across.
Insist on oe Carlex BMW as you will have HUD. Also make sure you get it done at a place that has experience aligning the Adas (cameras). I've had no issues with my replacement. |

Going through dealership will cost me extra on top of insurance… think these mobile guys can do just as good work? They sound knowledgeable and know to use OE glass…

The guys that replaced my wind screen said they don't offer the mobile service for my car as they have to align/calibrate the Adas cameras and that would need doing at their workshop
