No Stop Sale During Entire Process

My 2022 BMW M4 Competition xDrive recently arrived from Germany into the USA yesterday (Monday, 9/27), it is now in the New Jersey VPC, and it is scheduled to arrive at my dealership in NY on Thursday, 9/30.

From when I ordered the car about 60 days ago in late July until now, there has not been a stop sale and there is still no stop sale.

The dealer anticipates that I will be able to pick up the car on Saturday. They checked again this evening, and still no stop sale.

Why am I not having a stop sale issue like almost everyone else?

Has anyone else experienced this? I feel like I am in the clear, but don't want to get my hopes up since it seems exceptionally unlikely..

I ordered my car in July, received it last Monday. No stop sale. Luck of the draw.

Did you get executive package, parking assist plus, or driver assist?

I got the executive package, but I did not get parking assist plus or driver assit.

I also got a moonroof instead of the carbon fiber roof...not sure if that helped push me through the line quicker.

Likewise, I got the standard LED lights and not the laserlights..

I don't think everyone with it is affected. I think having more options increases your chance of getting a stop sale. Bmw also prioritizes the assembly line and some of the more recent build weeks don't have a stop sale. I'm week 29.

Exactly this. We all have the same radio/sound system and most of us are impacted. Count yourself lucky/blessed if you were not hit by the stop sale.

Hopefully for the rest of us I hope they now have the parts to resolve the stop sale. My M3 is hitting the port on Oct 7th. Let's see. Fingers crossed.

Agree with the other posts, just be thankful and thank the car gods. I was week 29 and i just got to the port in Germany this morning. Stop sales are tbd. Hoping for the best but expecting the worst. Congrats on the pending delivery

I got all of those. No stop sales, Car will arrive to dealer Thursday. Submitted my paperwork today Week 31 here.

I ordered executive, shadow line laser, park assist, drivers assist plus, M Drivers, M Drive Pro. CA tells me there is a stop sale. Genius isn't sure. Week 34 G82 xDrive Comp.

Mine did not have a stop sale either. It did have a release hold because it was a 2022 and got to US before the official rollout of 2022 models.

It can be anything that prevents the car from being sold to a customer. Currently, stop sales are being put on cars for missing parts due to the worldwide semiconductor shortages. The two common ones are the Radio Audio Module (RAM) which applies to all cars and the camera retrofit which only applies to cars with the parking assistance package.

My car is currently on a ship heading to Galveston with both of the above stop sales. The car will remain at the Galveston port until the parts come in and can be installed.

UPDATE: My dealership rushed delivery my car that arrived on a boat on Monday. They received it this morning and I am going to pick it up now!

No stop sale

To clarify, you mean the car is not up to the specs from the manufacturer?
