Seat/center console noises from hell

Who else has gotten the crackles to hell from the center console and seat touching?

I've already changed the seat frame, wasn't that. Now replacing the entire center console and adding felt tape on the inside…. Thankfully I have a dope service advisor and mechanic to just try everything…

Welcome to owning an M2. This is a common issue where others have noted changing seat position and/or angle has helped.

Mine has done it from purchase.. if you find a fix let us know!

Fixed. Replaced the center console. Took months to get the part from Germany.

Also replaced the seat back frame just incase.

The buzzing noise from the dash bothers me more than anything else.

Holy crap. I can’t believe BMW paid for all of that for a few creaks. WOW.

Mine has it too, especially with my seat almost max down.
So i put my seat in a higher more uncomfortable position to make less sound.
11/april i have a appointment with the dealership.

My mechanic added felt all inside the center console. That along with new console I think did the trick. Also the change he made to the seat frame was helpful too. Not sure what of the 3 did the final trick. Good luck.

I was having the same issue. Service rep said they put some sound deadening material and padding. So far so good. Then again with the AA EQ and Remus race I can't hear much. Lol

Just got an exhaust. Hoping it'll mask all the rattles too haha

ugh. Mine was fine up until a hot day and now it rubs like crazy. WTF. The fitment to the console is SO tight. I didn't have this problem on the OG M2.
