I am still under warrantee for another month but thought maybe there might be an easy trick?

I had the rear cargo loaded with something that interfered with the back seat rear panel getting locked in upright condition. BUT I needed the backseat for my dog to sit on, so I completely pulled out the seatbelt and wrapped it around the headrest to keep the back portion of of the seat from collapsing onto my dog- Worked out perfectly.

Emptied the car, unwrapped the seat belt and can't get it to retract, I am guessing it "locked" and because I pulled it all out now there is no "wiggle" room to unlock it??

EDIT- GOT IT TO RETRACT< JUST KEPT JIGGLING IT
