Tank Ventilation Diagnosis Recall

I have a recall due for my 2019 f90 that I purchased recently. Would this recall require a ecu software upgrade ? I've read that they sometimes update the software leading to loss of the burbles. I also plan on tuning the car so I'm not sure if this would also cause issues with the DME. Let me know if anyone's gone through with this recall and what your experiences were.
