550i lowering springs - chassis function limited

Hi guys I'm hoping I can get some answers to my dilemma.

I have a 2021 LCI M5, decided to install the H&R 550i Springs on my car. Looked like the install went great, car looks absolutely amazing dropped.

The car drives fine but I got a message Chassis Function Limited ( Continued Driving Possible). The car drives absolutely fine with no issues

Here is what I noticed

obviously the light Chassis function Limited is on

when I drive over 10mph I can NOT disengage the DCS it is constantly on,
when I try to switch to m1 or m2 it will not engage because traction will not disengage

when the car is at a complete stop I can shut off DCS and Traction.

Please Help

Definetly something went wrong during install. Hopefully they didn't damage any of connectors/wiring going to the shocks

It is 100% installation issue.

I bet you the installer forgot to plug-in the EDC connection on the rear.
Hopefully nothing worst.

Most likely an alignment issue. Get the car realigned and have the sensors recalibrated.
I had about 6-10 codes blaring when my car was dropped with the KW adjustable, getting the alignment done (steering straight is of utmost importance) and sensor recalibration will solve it

This is EXACTLY what happened . It is nothing else but this same thing happened to me I had to replace the sensor on one side and then it was fine

I’m having the same issue after lowering my 2020. Why did you have to replace the sensor? Was it damaged during install?

Would that be the cause of these errors?

76 Vertical dynamics management
2 errors

4828F6: Valve coil - rebound - rear right open pipe

4828F7: Valve coil - rebound - rear right short circuit valve

If not very careful, the strut end the harness can come out of its little groove in the strut top and instead sit on top of the strut and be crushed as the strut top is bolted to the chassis. As you push the strut up into the hole you are working somewhat blind and the plastic fender liner can catch on the harness, causing it to come out of the groove.

I had the m550i springs installed on my m5 2 months into having it. definitely an install issue. we have an electronic suspension system. hopefully no wires were punched during install or maybe they forgot to plug in a sensor. getting an alignment is a good idea. it's covered under warranty before the first 1500 miles. just tell them i feel the car pulling to a side & you'll get a free alignment after your install.

This is exactly what happened. The wires were crushed. Repaired the wires and the problem is gone.
