BimmerLink and Warranty
Just throwing a question out to the masses. I despise the factory burbles and would love to disable them. I'm curious though how disabling burbles fits into the cars warranty in regards to the flash counter and DME.
I don't want to void my warranty just to kill burbles. |

It has nothing to do with flashing anything, the burble disable is a factory command built into the DME by BMW.

My plebian understanding is that Bimmerlink and Bimmercode do not "rewrite" factory code, more that they just give you super admin access to existing settings.
In terms of whether or not that's grounds for a warranty denial, it's not a black and white answer but it's unlikely. I haven't heard a case, yet, where a warranty claim was denied or voided from Bimmerlink/Code changes. |
