BM3 tune

Hey yall.. I got a message when attempting to flash a new map I have never seen before.

I haven't ever seen this message on this car, my previous F32 or anyone's car I helped flash before.

I hit ok and backed out, I did NOT force flash the new map.

That's weird, the map should not be visible if its a different version than your DME.
Check with PTF and let us know what they say

I walked through it with PTF yesterday, including a number of steps of flash stock and relock, flash again then OTS flash which all worked fine.

The custom tune still gives that message and PTF said to work with the tuner since their maps are working fine.

Just weird..

Looks like I am ok.. tuner confirmed with PTF to.go ahead and force flash the custom tune. it applied fine and car started normally, so should be ok.

Mine does this with the m4gts tune for some reason. All others work fine.

Maybe you need a dme unlock? Did you check? If not then you can just force flash it

It's 2018 dme. Not sure if it need one

I had the same message when flashing BM3 for the first time. Force flash appeared to work. Alternatively I flashed MHD and then BM3, didn't give a message then.

Gotcha. PTF told me to force flash it as well. We will see..

I got the same msg today. But I was flushing the ots map not custom tune. Shoud I force flash it?

Yes. Need to flash back to stock tune with relock dme, then flash stock again without relock, then you can force flash whatever the ots tune you want. Also they checked my software version.
