Question On BMW Performance Steering Wheel
i searched the forums and found so many pictures but none can answer my question, so hopefully one that has the steering wheel can help me even more.
i got my shift and e-brake boot done with black alcantara with white stiching (to match the bmw performance steering wheel). when i look at all the pictures here i see different shades from lighting, etc so will my boots match the steering wheel: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...=1#post3499681? I've got the wheel, but went with the perforated M shifter and e-brake handle.
I would think the alcantara would match, your only risk is on the stitching, and white should match white. The wheel does photograph quite differently, as all alcantara does. The material on the top and bottom is similiar to the dash material, a harder rubber/plastic. The top part with the display is solid, the bottom part is soft like the alcantara sections. Don't know if that helps or not. The other option is calling the dealerships in your area and seeing if any of them have it installed. Just bring the shift boot or e-brake boot in and compare. My guess is that they'll match nicely. |
