Tune Failed Car Wont Start

I have a 2019 m2 comp, i was trying to tune my car today with BM3 and before 2% I get a failed error, now my car cannot start and when I try flashing back to stock it also gives me the same failed message before 2%. I was expecting this to be quick and easy and have a track day tomorrow, terrible idea now. Any help would be appreciated.

I have had this problem before. There are a few steps that you should walk through before:

1. Ensure you have adequate internet on the device you are flashing from.
2. If you have any kind of piggyback device (an exhaust valve controller etc.) make sure it is set to the default setting where it does not alter the car's behavior.
3. Use the "download and flash later option" before the next flash attempt. This can mitigate any issues related to internet connectivity.

My experience with this happened when I had my exhaust valve controller set to a non-stock setting and I was stumped with a non-starting car for almost two days.

If you still can't start after this, shoot me a PM and I can walk you through some additional steps.

Unfortunately that has not always been my experience. I had a similar issue on my vehicle and it look a long time to get any sort of substantive response.

nnicooo's car was already on the updated bootloader (the OBD locked one), so the BM3 attempt bricked it.

It has now been restored, after I connected the car directly to my laptop, and flashed it over VPN.
Enjoy your race tomorrow!

Was just able to get on the forums now but Enabled was amazing. He walked me through everything and was able to remotely get my car to start again 12 hours before my track day. Life saver! I’ll be contacting you shortly about unlocking my DME.

Thanks again!

I can vouch for that. Enabled's experience with working on BMW tunes was amazing.
I couldn't find a better solution to get my '20 M2C DME 'bench unlocked'.
Only if I was closer to Texas..

Should have seen the way that message came back from nnicooo:

-"Start car??"

-"Yes".

Good stuff, Enabled!

From first hand experience, I can only recommend BM3. They have always been responsive with my (sometimes annoying) emails.

First thing I did was ensure that my DME was unlocked. Sounds like OP didn't go through that 5 minute confirmation before flashing.
