Strange noise when steering

I keep hearing a squeaking noise when I turn the steering wheel. The noise is coming from the center of the dash and stops after driving for a few minutes. Does anyone know what could be causing this noise in the center of the dash?

Mine does the noise too for 3 years now. I just ignored it because it seems like coming from interior side.

I've read that it's rubbing against something and needs WD40 somewhere but never bothered enough to investigate.

I will give that a try. It sounds like the noise is coming from the center to the passenger side in the dash.

I lubricated that spot and area and it didn't make a difference. This morning I put my ear down there and listened but the noise isn't coming from that spot. It sounds like it's rubber in the center of the dash. Could it be something on the firewall. It only does it in the morning when I first drive it and its cold.
